Another useless opinion

"as oscar wilde said "all art is quite useless" and so are all opinions about art i suppose, but here's one anyway.

i am far from qualified to judge this particular interpretation of schubert's songs - i have never heard them before so i have no other interpretations to compare this to - i was listening to it not so much for the performers as to hear schubert's art.

as far as i can tell the performance was very good - but i'm no expert.

as far as the music itself - i love it- it is emotional and thoughtful- simple yet deep, - art that is useless(beautiful) and at the same time usefull(improving the spirit and mentality).

is there any point in describing the effect of the music? (and let us not forget- poetry of geothe)? it will effect some pleasantly and others not.

if you are reading this then you probably already know schubert in which case my non-expert opinion is all the more useless. my apologies.

but, if you are not familiar with schubert's songs then you must be a seeker of fine things to be wondering about this recording, in which case i encourage you to listen - i belive you will find it worthy of your time."
