"These are warm, aristocratic performances of Schumann's most popular solo piano scores. Claudio Arrau may miss some of Schumann's skittish personality, but I still enjoy his pensive, warm playing. Philips' analogue sound quality is quite impressive. Anyone interested in a splendid introduction to these Schumann works will not be disappointed."
