"One of these days us album freaks have to get together and kidnap Andy Votel; give him all the Imperial Stout he wants, but play him Anita Bryant records until he tells us where he gets his gig.

Votel goes 'round the globe finding wierd synth, prog, world music: all the stuff dimissed years ago as cheese sits in some locked cabinet at Votel's house--we'll have to play Debbie Boone until he forks the keys over.

The rub is, all this orphan music is really good: keyboard driven, funky, psychadelic, all the stuff that sat in attics and such is presented by Votel as a genre. This is particuallarly true on Scince Fiction Dance party--a farfisa driven space set by two Germen music archivests around '69.

1969 was of course Moon time, and this seems to be centered around space age cheapo records, back when space travel was really an exiting process and people actually thought we'd be taking vacations on Pluto by 2010.

And Votel also gives us a bonus--a nice picture of the albums he uses. Rare for him. Good, but I want ALL these records

DON'T MAKE ME TURN ANITA UP TO 7, ANDY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Could you use an intern?
