"The Scientists are much too often over-looked, they are an incredible post-punk band.
They are swampy, they are dirty and abrasive.
It's simply fantastic.
If you are a fan of The Birthday Party and The Cramps, you'll probably love The Scientists."

"This sounds like a bar band who has had way too much to drink and wants to sing odes to all their influences, Suicide, the Cramps, Raw Power era Stooges, even Elvis (by way of Suicide). Lyrics like "This is my happy hour. If you want to be sad go somewhere else" seperates this from the dirge like post punk of the early Birthday Party but takes it above the over-rated Radio Birdman. Foetus are a hell of a lot scarier. Still, I'll take the Scientists over the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion any day. Just don't forget your fake i.d. when you go to the bar."
