"This CD is incredible, Scott Wendholt is the baddest modern trumpet player in New York today as far as I am concerned. His technique is amazing, he plays the hippest lines i've heard since Woody Shaw and his sound is gourgeous. His sound, to me, is the ideal New York Jazz trumpet sound, it has that smoke in it, you know. His compositions and arrangements are just wonderful and the band couldn't have played better.
