It Really is for Scratch Nerds

"I picked up Scratch Nerds about 10 days ago and have listened to it several times. Being a scratch nerd myself, I enjoyed it, but it really didn't sound new for too long. The beats are almost entirely the monotonous bass tones that Craze is known for, very little melody. There's cutting over just about the whole thing with Craze & Klever engaging in what sounds like a 60 minute Q&A session. There were a few movie sample drops which I liked, but I wish there had been more of them. The cuts themselves are on point as you'd expect from these two (Craze being a World Champ and Klever being a US Champ), but if you've been scratching for a few years you won't hear anything you haven't heard before.I can't imagine someone who isn't a turntablist really going nuts for this album - but maybe that was the intention. Had the beats been hotter and had a little more melody, this could've been a dramatically better album."

"this album is first off....not really an album...its a scratch cd. plain and simple. all the techniques are on point, and yes...its nothing but scratching....hence the god damn name.....craze and klever are two of my favorite dj's/turntablists in the world right now. if you're a fan of tablism, djing, or scratching, this is a must own."
