CD ReviewsA very underated cd H.G. Lovecraft | Leeds Point, NJ USA | 09/19/2005 (5 out of 5 stars) "I can't believe there is not one review for this cd? Granted, its Lolita Nation(Game Theory) but, its still a must have for any indie fan of bands such as Lets Active, Go Betweens, Tommy Keene, the Feelies,Connels,Smithereens& yes even some Game Theory. If you are a fan of college radio, this is a no brainer. I know that I have made some bold statements, but I'm telling you,you wont regret adding this relatively unknown gem to your collection. At the price, how could you go wrong? The only reason I bring it up is because my copy was stolen from my car with some other of my favorites, but if this means anything, they left my Mission of Burma and stole this one? I thought I would have a terrible time finding it again, but I could not understand why it was so easy to locate? Unless my taste is not as refined as I thought, but thats highly unlikely. Buy it and you'll understand." Hidden Gem of the Early 90s Ranger94 | Cincinnati, OH USA | 02/06/2009 (5 out of 5 stars) "This CD is too good not to have more reviews. I first heard "Gone for Sure" on an alt rock station in Albuquerque NM in 1990. I had to drive 20 miles to a pay phone to call the station for the name of the band. Since then, "Wide Eyed and Dreaming" has been a staple in my CD collection. The songs are a mix of full, guitar based indie rock to piano, horn-based ballads. The songs are fairly timeless and as relevant now as they were 20 years ago. Some have hints of the twangy alt-country sound that is so pervasive now in acts like Tim Easton, Ryan Adams, etc. Makes me wonder if Sea Stories might have been a little ahead of their time. Give this a shot. If you were into alternative, progressive rock in the 80's-90's (especially the kind that didn't shy away from the slide guitar) - you won't be disappointed."
