Product DescriptionSean Clive's newest Catholic Music project is finally complete, and the patience of his many fans has been well rewarded. With the outstanding production support of David Smith at Icon Music Studios, What I've Settled For is an excellent combination of Sean's vocal talent, deep faith, and great sense of humor! Here is Sean's preface to the CD: -When I finally came to terms with the fact that I can't control everything in my life, life became easier. Even though we include the Lord's Prayer in our prayers each day, it took me a long time to realize that I was asking that God's will be done in our lives. How can it be done if I hold on so tightly to the reins, never letting God work? He was calling me to let go so He could work in the space between me and my life. He was asking me to accept what it was that He wanted to give me. He wanted me to settle for something amazing, though I didn't yet know what it was. It's not that easy - it's actually quite scary. But as I look back over the past few years, I am so glad that I got out of the way. And I've settled for this life, this wonderful life full of love and life, joy and sorrow, good and bad, sickness and health. I think about how our decisions and the decisions of my parents and their parents and their parents have brought us right here and set us on the road to everlasting life. Like the people of God who have listened and have settled themselves and their families and their nations as God has directed throughout time, so it is with us as we settle our hearts, as we settle our homes, as we settle our minds, as we settle accounts with each other and open wide the doors. Christ enters in and settles among us. He is what we have settled for - and He is more than we could have ever imagined. We can do all things through Christ...this project is a testament to that. In fact, my whole life is a testament to that fact and the mercy and blessings of God. It is my hope that every song on this project will testify to the life God has given each of us and glorify God as He deserves. I hope you enjoy. -Sean
