These are the good old Skid Row days revisited only with Sebastian's original new material. What I mean by revisited is that the fantastic vocals are still there and it does remind one of the good old Skidrow days in that. Much of the style is the same, but there are some nice slow songs that ad a surprisingly mellow edge for a little and show us Bach's amazing talent and range.

He's BACH and better than ever!

"It took almost a year but Sebastian Bach's first solo effort finally made it as a United States release! The former vocalist for SKID ROW is here to show us that he still has what it takes! The DIFFERENCE between the import version and the U.S. release, other than the obvious price difference, is a change in which songs are on the CD. The live versions of "Here I Am" and "Sweet Little Sister" have been replaced by another two brand new studio tracks on the U.S. release, "Rock 'N' Roll" and "Counterpunch". This means, for the die hard fan...BOTH the domestic and the import versions are worth having! I might add, both the live and studio tracks are ALL solid. The new songs are everything you would expect from Sebastian Bach. The old songs done live are absolutely amazing! YOU MUST HEAR THIS to fully appreciate Sebastian Bach's vocal range. WARNING: If your speakers are feeble you may want to invest in a good set because he'll blow away the weak! Like all the other fine things in life Sebastian Bach just continues to get better with age. He is undeniably the Ambassador of Attitude, playing rock the way it should be, LOUD and full of IN YOUR FACE ATTITUDE! He shows us once again why he's the ORIGINAL "Youth Gone Wild". His first solo album is only the beginning! He will be with us for a long time to come! A lot of other bands within this genre have come back strong recently, and, there are others who have moved on to solo efforts as well. DEFINITELY pick up a copy of "Bring 'Em Bach Alive", but then, go take a look at some of your other favorites. You may be pleasantly surprised! Need a memory jog? You can click on over to my home page on Amazon and find many of these bands reviewed and most of them mentioned. Your only problem once there will be...decisions, decisions, decisions. :o)"

"Want to hear a pair of powerful lungs like none other in the heavy metal world? Then give a listen to Sebastian Bach. I was NEVER a Skid Row fan -- and I mean NEVER. Then I caught Bach's performance on Broadway in New York City as Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde and I was BLOWN AWAY COMPLETELY by his voice. Bach has an incredibly charismatic stage presence, and it takes an awful lot to impress a stuffy bunch of Broadway Theatre goers in The Big Apple, so picture this wild eyed, long haired, heavy metal rocker singing to sold out performances every single night this summer and getting thunderous standing ovations each time! It is truly exciting! This excellent LIVE CD recorded in Japan in 1998 gave me a chance to hear just how far this performer reaches when he does his brand of rock and roll. His reach is awesome. "18 and Life" as well as "I Remember You" are nicely done and you'll enjoy the way Bach hits end-notes with a range that could stop a mack truck.Whether you liked SKID ROW in the eighties or not, this is a good cd to buy for some impressive vocal sounds. Bach has a bright future ahead!"

"i'm a huge skid row fan and i've known for a while that the import version of this album existed but i wanted to wait around awhile to see if it would come out in the U.S. it did and i saved 10 bucks. but as i listen to it, the extra 10 bucks would have been worth it. i'm not a huge fan of live albums but this one is excellent. the new studio tracks have a mix of stuff that would probably appear on a more poppy album like "skid row" and the harder music that would probably appear on "subhuman race". let me give you a layout of the new tracks.rock n roll 9 out of 10 stars-a great way to open up the album. this one rocks hard and kind of sounds like kiss.done bleeding-10 stars-this song is great i love it. sebastion has some good vox on this one.superjerk-9 stars-this was a suprise to me, not your normal ballad, kind of sounds like the beatles but give it a few listens and you'll love it.blasphemer-8 stars-a little too short, never really have time to enjoy it but if you're looking for a quick fix of rock to get you going nothing works better than this.counterpunch-9 stars-i love this song it's a lot like blasphemer but better, a hard song that would satisfy any rocker.the most powerful man-9.5 stars-his voice sounds great at the high points on this one. best line is "if i could BURN my past with a match..." excellent.so as you see if you like skid row come get a taste of "bring em bach alive". oh and by the way the comic in it is pretty good."

"Sebastian Bach is and always will be a force to be reckoned with. I have had the priveledge of seeing him live in concert and he is pure, non stop energy. I am a huge fan of Skid Row and usually I like it when my favorite bands stay together, but in the case of Sebastian Bach his talent stands alone and shines! The original songs on this CD kick serious butt, especially the song Done Bleeding. The live songs are awesome and even without the visuals you can feel Bach's energy. If you have ever seen Skid Row or Sebastian Bach in concert this disc is a great way to relive the memories! Sebastian Bach was born for rock and roll, he loves what he does. And it shows! Bach is a true performer and never, ever a disappointment. Buy this Cd - you will not regret it!"

"Sebastian Bach-one of rock's premier frontmen-proves with this phenomenal solo album that he will be here to stay. The new material on this album, such as "Rock'N'Roll," is rock at its finest-with a catchy, steady and driving tempo-and his energetic and unsurpassed lyrical abilities-this song infuses the listener with a desire for more just like it. "Done Bleeding," co-written by Bach and Richie Scarlet-is not only one of the best songs on the album-but it also definitely proves that the Bach/Scarlet team can easily hold their own against the Snake/Bolan duo. It is a synergy of tempestuous and darkly poetic lyrics, hard edged metal, and a haunting, wrenching refrain that contrasts sharply and perfectly with the rest of the song. As far as the two new ballads on the album are concerned-"The Most Powerful Man In the World" is a true gem-a rare and sparkling example of the beauty of simplicity of lyric and melody-an "I Remember You" for the new millennium. "Superjerk Superstar..." is an extremely different song altogether-with bitingly humorous lyrics almost bordering on sardonic-the fact that it is a ballad-an interesting contrast-makes it highly unusual and welll worth listening to. Finally, as far as the new material is concerned, "Blasphemer," and "Counterpunch" are great for the real metal/hard rock enthusiasts who thirst for music that inspires the wild side. As far as the live material from Sebastian's years with the Skids goes-with his amazing vocal presence and energy-he makes the material sound as fresh and exciting as it did when it first came out-and proves that he is the reason that they became so famous in the first place with his powerful renditions of such favorites as: "Slave to the Grind; 18 & Life; In A Darkened Room; Monkey Business; Youth Gone Wild" and many others-totalling the tracks on the CD to 16. In addition, his new band plays the songs as if they wrote them-as a whole-these live tracks are even better than the original ones-as Sebastian's voice is only getting better with time. Included in this not-to-miss CD is an added bonus: an amusing comic with a premise that suggests that Sebastian and friends are "bach" to save the world from "lame music"-and after listening to this CD, I'm convinced that he has!"
