Guitar Virtuosos

"Perfect just before bedtime. What shall I say? It is an offbeat, out-of-the-mainstream classic musical collection. Segovia is legendary for merging guitar music with orchestra. I recommend this collection as an inexpensive CD for a high school or college beginning guitar class, and by all means, I would suggest it to satisfy any music appreciation course requirement. Some of the selections, as Sarabande, will be vaguely familiar. I missed one of two required guitar ensembles, and had to buy something from a short list. Out of respect for two guitar masters, it is a level to aspire to, but it is not all that artistically entertaining- at least to me or my brother. In fact, my brother lent me a cassette tape he found that makes these two virtuousos boringly slow of movement, and the cassette had none-the-less of talent with a lot more energetic artistry. Nevertheless, the guitar is a very difficult instrument to play, and I tip my hat out of respect for both Segovia and Williams."
