Uplifting sounds in an often underrated form of music

"There is no way to adequately describe the marvelous sound of The Serendipity Singers in writing. Their music must be heard (more accurately experienced) to be understood. The group combines the traditional sound of American Folk with the more uptempo beat of early 1960's pop to create a musical style that is their's alone. The selections on this album include powerful ballads like "Sailing Away", the almost frightening lyrical imagery of "Sinner Man", the fanciful comic ditty "Mud", and their biggest commercial success, "Don't Let the Rain Come Down."There are too many good songs in this collection to mention them all, and these comments cannot do them justice. If you love the sound of intricate harmonies and powerful voices losing themselves in the pure joy of singing, this album is for you. Indeed, The Serendipity Singers have Many Sides, and you'll enjoy exploring every one of them!"
A great collection of their music on a CD!!

"I grew up with this music... and my 2 year old daughter loves it every bit as much as I do. It's actually the kind of music that appeals to all ages.
The arrangements, the harmonies, the blending of 9 voices and 7 instruments... it's a must have!

"It's a great two-fer put out by Collectables in 1999. Sadly, it's no longer in print. I'm waiting for the other Philips LP's to be re-issued as well."
