"I love Romeo and Juliet by Prokofiev, but I hang on every fantastic note of Cinderella. Do not let the price make you think this recording is not worth three times as much. Ashkenzay makes the Cleveland Orchestra shine with every note. Nothing gets thrown away anywhere whether it is the antics of the step-sisters or the incredible waltz, the casting of spells, the frantic stroke of midnight or the soul wrenching finale. You may find recordings almost as good, but you will never find anything like this. Everyone I have played this for is astonished at the sound and passion. I love being able to hear all of the notes that dart back and forth under the melody that other orchestras throw away. Beautiful. Perfect. Magnificent in every way. You must hear this to believe it. I am on my way to buy another one for a friend."
