"This is a recordig of a concert given by Sergio Endrigo in Milan in 1970. From what I can decipher from the Italian liner notes, this concert came together very quickly but it certainly came off successfully because it is one of best concert recordings that I have every heard. Sergio Endrigo is one of the great songwriters of Italian popular music and you can tell that the audience was filled with his admirers. Their response is, at times, very touching.
Endrigo writes beautiful melodies and his rich voice colored by by nostalgia, regret, amusement, and love of life. I know little Italian, but it is clear that his lyrics are of a very serious, poetical nature.
Best tracks: Aria di Neve, Girotondo Intorno Al Mondo, and his great classic L'Arca di Noe, but my absolute favorite is Via Broletto 34. When he sings the first line, a woman in the audience cries out "Bravo" with such admiration and enthusiasm in her voice that I am always moved. I strongly recommend this CD."
