"This is a good CD because it has a collection of Sergio Reis top hits, namely, those recorded through the 1970's and 1980's. The sound quality is good and the selection of songs was made by someone who knows what the very best of the artist is. Here is a summary as well as an nterpretation of Sergio Reis songs and career: He started out by singing "Jovem Guarda" in the late 1960's. He was the only urban artist to turn to (Brazilian) country music in the early 70's. Ever since his songs became well known by the country-side peoples of Brazil. His songs incorporate the very cultural features of everyday life in the Brazilian countryside, usually those related to the cattle-raising farms and their brave cowboys. It is also certainly filled with romanticism, nostalgia and some bitterness. In general terms, Sergio Reis does represent the voices of a countryside in transition to modernity and their countereffects. Besides knowing the countryside life and culture very well, he has some voice. If you want to know a bit of genuine Brazilian country music, this is the CD to buy. END"
