"Most music is written to please a certain taste: punk music is perfect for teenage boys, boy bands make 12-year old girls swoon, and rap is great if you dig that scene--but Seven Day Jesus writes pop rock that most people can enjoy." --Clinton D. Smith

Seven stars for Seven Day Jesus!!
08/09/1999
(5 out of 5 stars)
"For fans of mellow music, this album just might not be your best bet. However, if you like a CD that rocks a dreary day into a peppy afternoon, GO FOR IT!!! SDJ's sophomore is one of the best rock CDs I've heard in a while. Fans of any group from DCTalk to MXPX to the Newsboys will like this album too. The first 3 songs are sure favorites. Let your church's youth pastor take a listen to the closer, You Are The One, for teen service praise & worship! All in all, this is one fine effort from Seven Day. I give this effort seven thumbs up!"

"Seven Day Jesus' latest album,is phenomenal! As a long time Christian, i still listened mostly to secular music, but this album, got me back into Christian Music! SDJ, is most definitely the best Christian band up there with Smalltown poets. Its like the only CD in my collection, i can play straight through, and not get sick of! Every song is awesome! "Down with the Ship", and "I will find you" are my favorites! Possibly the best album i've ever heard! You MUST buy it. it should be triple platinum."

"I don't like very many CD top to bottom. Many times I only like one or two songs. This CD breaks that mold. Top to bottom probably one of the best. Great music, great lyrics, great beat, this CD has it all. When I go on long drives this is one of the CDs to take along. Some great songs include Down with the Ship, Everybody needs love, Sea of forgetfulnes and You are the One."
How could I have lived without it?

"That was exactly the first thing I thought when I got the CD. I had barely even heard of them before, but I bought the CD, and as soon as I put it in my stereo, it was my favorite. It starts out with "Down With the Ship", a really great song about not going down with the rest of the world. The abrupt start and end is kind of shocking for people like my parents who are used to songs that repeat the chorus 50 times while slowly fading out. Now "Butterfly" is my absolute favorite SDJ song! I love both the lyrics and the melody. There's a lot of musical variety in just one song. I will never ever get tired of this song, or of hearing Brian McSweeny's voice sing it! He's got the coolest voice! When you hear "Who I am", listen for the bass line. It has an awesome bass line! Lyrics like "I may be strange, but I don't care" really apply to my life! There's also a lot of other really good songs on this album, and it just takes too long to talk about them all. Those three are my favorites. "Butterfly" is a favorite of almost everyone else I know. Now I'll just conclude this by saying it is extremely tragic that SDJ broke up. Life will go on, although some extreme fans like me may think it doesn't. My advice to you, is buy this CD. It is so worth it, and you will wonder how you lived so long without it."
