Seven That Spells - 'Black Om Rising' (Beta-Lactam Ring Reco

"Almost as astounding as their 'Men From Dystopia' effort (see my review). Tracks that definitely make this title a must-have are the space rocking opener "Fluxion", "Ra", the awesome progressive-like title cut "Black Om Rising" and the elaborite "Daktari". Comes with a bonus DVD that features tunes from the CD performed live - the DVD runs 35 minutes and it features the band performing in a hole-in-the-wall club to an intimate crowd. The gig is pretty good - especially the last two songs "Black Om Rising" and the incredible "Daktari". That, along with an eight-page booklet are sure to have most (if not all) true Seven That Spells fans drooling for more. Old school krautrock patrons will likely enjoy this import CD as well."
