"Disturbed's first album had it's 10th anniversary this year, but now Sevendust's self-titled debut gets a special treatment 13 years after it's original release, and boy is it worth it. Before the band got popularized by releasing killer single after single while simultaneously falling off the radar, they poured out a lot of hatred in this beast. I'm sure that back then record labels were jumping on the band wagon trying to find another Korn-sounding group, and while Sevendust definitely fit the mold, their sound was something else. I feel this album does stand the test of time. After the recent release of the band's newest album Cold Day Memory (their first album with the original lineup in 7 years), the Definitive Edition for the self-titled album has been released. The full album itself has been remastered, and while it still retains the raw sound, the bass and guitars sound more thick and upfront. Five rare tracks have been included, and they are worth hearing. The bonus dvd is basically a time capsule from the era when this album was released: live footage, behind the scenes footage, and an EPK are included. The fact that this album is a classic alone should be enough to warrent picking this up."
