"This album and group "Shades of Blue" is one my most favorite CDs. This CD did not have an image so I scanned my own CD cover for the image on Amazon. I first purchased the CD in a bookstore because it was on clearance for just a few dollars and it looked interesting to me although I had never heard of the group. I would describe it as having that timeless quality that can't really be dated and a depth to the songs where they only sound better as you become more familiar with them. I have been listening to the CD on a regular basis for about 8-10 years and still love it. It has a wonderful jazzy sound with lots of eclectic instruments. The level of musician ship is excellent and stands in contrast to so much "Christian" stuff out there where the quality of the music is embarrassingly low in comparison to similar secular offerings. The CD is Christian based and Christ centered. The lead singer is Sandra Stephens and her strong and diverse voice is simply fantastic. Songs are written by such artists as Billie Holiday, Van Morrison, Mahalia Jackson, Los Lobos, Bill Withers, Bob Dylan... as well as some original material by the group. While all the songs are great, my favorite is "Till We Get The Healing Done which is written by Van Morrison. Unfortunately, I don't think this group ever recorded any other CDs and I never heard anything more from them. It is simply a great CD!"
