"I have been a Shane and Shane fan since Psalms, and have had mixed feelings regarding their CDs. This is not only, in my opinion, the best CD they have ever put out, but it also is in my top 10 CDs of all time list. The musical variety, ranging from country to jazz to soul, is absolutely incredible. However, the real kicker for me was the powerful lyrics. The first song, "Vision of You," brought me to the verge of tears. "Embracing Accusation" is one of the most powerful songs I have ever heard; and "We Love You Jesus" is a wonderful song of worship. This CD does not sound the same on every song. On the contrary, it is a rich tapestry of songs that bring glory to God. A must buy."
The new style finally perfected

"Shane & Shane first began with a largely acoustic sound that highlighted their amazing vocal harmonies, Shane Barnard's phenomenal acoustic guitar skills, and well constructed songwriting. Their album "Carry Away" highlights this style and is still unquestionably their best.
Their albums "Upstairs" and "Clean" were largely disappointing with an attempt change their style to complicated songwriting and more alternative sounding music/instrumentation. I was pleasantly shocked when "Pages" came out and I have now finally fallen in love with their new sound. Different, but still excellent. The songs "Before The Throne of God Above", "Vision of You", and "We Love You Jesus" on this CD fully showcase their great new sound.
If you liked "Clean" and/or "Upstairs", you'll love this album (and if you don't own "Carry Away", it's well worth the investment). If you're looking for your first S&S CD, "Pages" is still a great buy."
Perhaps their best yet

"Contrary to what some reviewers might think, these songs do NOT all sound the same. In fact, they have more variety than I'm used to hearing with Shane and Shane. Burn Us Up, in particular, is soulful and rocking, while Embracing Accusation is mournful and filled with emotion and shame. They utilize a lot of keyboard effects, which is also a nice addition. Overall, the musical talent shows, as well as their heart for God.
I have seen this band twice, and they put on a wonderful show using this music."

"I stumbled across "burn us up" on the radio and just had to try some more of their music. I really like it. It does have a lot of the same sound in many of the songs, but I really like the sound so its just fine with me. I haven't tried any of there other cds, but I will be getting the first album soon. If it is anything like this, I;m sure it'll be great."
A great blessing

"Pages Shane and Shane's music has always blessed me and motivated me to seek a closer relationship with the Lord. This album is no different."
