"In searching the Internet many moons ago, a person who ordered an item of mine noticed my taste in music. They suggested I try out Sharon's "Edge of Time." "Who is Sharon?" I asked, skeptical if the kind of music they thought I liked was in fact what I do like. Sadly, they didn't have much information for me. So, I hit the old download programs and downloaded the signature track of Sharon's album, "Sweet Family." I knew I had to hear more.Combining two styles that I promote heavily, "hair" metal and "Power/Progressive" metal, Sharon brings an almost impossible to deny form of Metal that really has a lot to offer. It's got quite a bit of classic Bon Jovi in it with a bit of wild energy that really develops into a strong sound. Other songs such as Stop Draggin' and Can You Remember enhance my interest to learn more of this band. But, there doesn't seem to be any way for me to learn more. I don't know who the musicians are nor who they may have played with before. All I know is that this band could be huge if given the push. But, they have talent. So, that won't happen. Also, they rock, not rap. So right off the bat they've got a strike against them in a totally jaded world of music.I also would like to argue the concept of them being considered "alternative." Alternative, to me, is a branch of Rock and Metal that lacks a direction and really fits no bill. Usually, bands that don't know who or what they want to be call themselves "alternative" because it sounds good. This band sure seems to know what they're about. Unfortunately, there's no one out there to share who they are with the rest of us! All I know is they are awesome and deserve more recognition than they get, which would be some at all."
