"I ordered this disc after I could not take Soul's Core out of my CD player. This is just as good....one of those discs you need to listen to a few times to really appreciate, then you find yourself singing the songs in your head for days. A real gem of an album."
This is the best of Shawn Mullins' albums, easily!

"Although it does not have the same feeling of his more recent work in "Soul's Core," this is where Shawn Mullins' roots are. I attended college with him at North Georgia College in Dahlonega, GA, and had the great opportunity to see him perform at fraternity parties and downtown. "Everchanging World" is a classic, and the best song on the album -- this is college music, folksy and singable. If you're a Mullins fan, it's a must-have."
Not shawn's best, but definitely a keeper

"this was the fourth mullin's cd i bought, and i'll have to say, i liked his other three better, but this one still deserves a five star rating. you can tell he hasen't developed as a songwriter/musician yet, but i can still just throw it in the cd player and listen to the whole album and not be bored. "the dream" has a nice chorus line and a beautiful meaning, and i loved the live "Casey's last ride". "just like me" is one of my favorites and i can listen to that over and over. if you're looking for a cd to compliment Soul's Core, i recommend Eggshells, but if you just can't get enough of Shawn Mullins, definitely check out Better Days."
The real Shawn Mullins

"For anyone that loves Shawn's "new stuff", Better Days is a must! This is the best of Shawn! I've had this CD (actually my first copy was a tape) since 1993 and I haven't gotten tired of it yet. I listen to it at least once a week unlike all of my other trendy CD's I sell in about two months. It's a relaxing escape that takes me away from the real world to a beautiful scene in the Appalachian Mountains."
