"Hi my name is chad wilcoxson and this is my mom's cd and even though i'm not the biggest fan of her genre of music i think just because of the 15 or so years she has been in the whole music business trying to earn a name for herself, she deserves more credit than she gets."
I need a sixth star to rate this one!

"What she does with her voice will blow you away. She sings from the depths of her soul and it registers. Buy this, listen to it, and put it in a place where you can find it in no less than 19 seconds--never know when you will have a Sheila attack. She sparkles in solo but is equally compelling with the excellent acoustic backup by Robb, Salgado and crew."
One of the finest blues albums in years

"I'm disappointed that this is apparently the only release from Sheila Wilcoxson. She sounds like she's channeling Ethel Waters and manages to sound fresh and original at the same time. Classic blues is a genre which is too much neglected and as such Sheila Wilcoxson sounds as fresh as a morning dew. Even if you think you don't like the blues, get Backwater Blues. You won't be able to help loving it."
Soul and Blues blend perfectly!

"Singing with conviction and guitar playing with passion are what make this cd a rare gem. One of my favorite artists to play on my Blues Power Show at 1490 KOTY Yakima Nation Reservation station in south central Washington state."
