"The only confusing thing about this album is the title. There are 2 CD's in the market titled "Shirley Bassey Sings The Movies". This one includes new recordings from some of the best songs from famous motion pictures.
Shirley pours all her grandeur and feelings in the songs but the orchestrations are just too unbearable. Shirley is a first rate performer and her voice is larger than life. The album sounds like a Low Budget recording, just like the sounds on "The Power Of Love" album. WHY?
I still prefer the other "Sings the Movies" collection where she sings classic theme songs, and of course "Goldfinger" and "Diamonds Are Forever" are included.
The "Goldfinger" version on this record is simply less dynamic than the original."
