"'Dhyana' means 'meditation' in Sanskrit. As the name suggests, Dhyana at Daybreak creates a meditative environment, especially in the early morning. Raga Gunkali (first track) is a sublime melody which helps the mind to go inward. The next raga, Basant Mukhari is another morning melody which continues the introspective feeling created by Gunkali. Finally, there is a short rendition of Bhairavi which reinforces the feeling of surrendering to the supreme spirit and gives a fitting conclusion.Tabla rendered by Shafat Ahmad Khan has excellent tonal quality and it enhances the sublime quality of the music. This album is especially suited for people who prefer to perform early morning Yoga with music in the background. It is difficult to bring out the effect of music in words, especially for sublime albums like this. One has to listen to the music to have the real experience.HPR"
