"The first time I heard them live was at "Legacy Shopping center" in Plano, Texas back in 2006. I liked their music and grabbed their demo CD. I never heard of them before then. So far "Shock of Pleasure" is the only local band I like here in Dallas (This music style rarely come from South:)- Their music is a nice juice of Electronica/Lounge, Downtempo.
This is their first official album released this year & I recommended to everyone who listen to Downtempo Electronica or Chillout music. It's very Adictive!...Hey, did I mentioned I'm going to see them perform live this saturday in Dallas? ;) --- BUY THIS NICE ALBUM --- You can visit their website at http://www.shockofpleasure.com

"i stumbled onto this c.d looking for versions of the classic IV song "Spooky" and found this group. From "Spooky" i heard their version of the Çarpenters "Superstar"..and then i decided to get the whole thing. The singer has a golden voice which works very well with the chillout-electronic-melodic music..The songs are drenched in atmosphere, mostly moody, perculating and very engaging. I have been listening to a lot of trip hop/loung/electronic with women's vocals lately and this band and the belgium (?) band "luke" really stand out. What is compelling is that undrerneath all the electronics and mood etc. are well structured songs and a great vocalist. Plus their versions of "spooky and Superstar" are really worth hearing. Very creative takes on classic nuggets. And all the songs work well together, there is a nice flow to this c.d. 5 stars."
