"A lot more people have heard Shonen Knife than have heard OF them. The best description I have ever read is "the ultra-ultra-eccentric power- pop-punk girl trio from Osaka, Japan". They are also know as "the nicest band in rock". Both are true. People who listen to them tend to get addicted - they're a cult band, westerners even learn some Japanese to better appreciate their music, which is done in English and Japanese. This is their definitive work, and it's nice that it includes some Japanese songs. If it's too expensive try "Millenium Edition".

I wish they had included their cover of "I Want To Be Sedated" which; in my opinion, exceeds even the Ramone's original. But you can't have everything. From country-western to bossa nova; all with a fresh punk attitude, Shonen Knife have done it. WARNING! Possesion of these CD's may turn you into a Shonen Knife Freak!!!"
