Some of the most fun on record...

"To say it's pop music probably isn't fair, but to say it's catchy really is. This CD contains Shonen Knife's first two albums, which is definitely a fine place to start listening to the band. If you're a fan of the simplicity of Beat Happening and enjoy a little Ramones buzzsaw guitar, then these two albums will really satisfy.
The albums are fairly lo-fi, certainly appealing to anyone that has an appreciation for that level of recording. But the songs do the most with the technology, and as such are extremely enjoyable. Really, the albums are quite similar to their third, Pretty Little Baka Guy, which for some reason seems to be a little more widespread in popularity. Go figure."
