CD Reviews

An absolute must have

"Do yourself a huge favor and pick up this CD. Any fan of guitar driven rock and roll will love this offering from Shotgun Messiah. A band that starts their CD off with a song entitled "Sex, Drugs, Rock and Roll" is a band for me. Shotgun Messiah's guitarist, Harry Cody, can deliver the goods as good as, and or, better than most of his contemporaries that enjoyed way more success than he. He should be, without a doubt, herald in the same catagory as Guitar Gods like George Lynch, Vivian Campbell, Nuno Bettencourt, etc, etc. Bold statement I know, but just listen to him shred on this CD and you too will agree. I think everyone has some sleeper CDs in their collection that they love but didn't get mass attention. This is one of those. It's also one of those CDs that you can listen to over and over again and it still sends chills up your spine everytime. The song "Heartbreak Blvd." received some commercial air play, but that was about all the attention this release was given. Too bad, because it's not the best song on the CD. The songs are hard and heavy (with a few slow ones) but still possess strong melodies that is missing from a lot of hard rock. You will be able to rock out and still sing to the songs at the same time. "Second Coming" will completely satisfy the most die hard, hard rock fan. Get it, crank it, love it. Trust me."
This is how music should sound!

"Thank you Tim Skold and Hary Cody, you have enlightened me and given me many special moments with your music. THE MUSIC IS AWESOME and Im really suprised that these two guys arent sitting in a studio writing hit music today for Britney like Max Martin (another Swedish hardrocker) does. Cause the reason for me saying so is that Tim Skold and Harry Cody is probably two of the most talented songwriters around.
Nobody can call themself a true Hardrocker unless they heard about Shotgun Messiah....THIS IS THE BEST OF THE BEST!
Thank god Tim SKold got something going on with Marilyn Manson...so I look forward to that Marilyn Record that will be released soon...
What ever happend to Harry Cody? I wanna hear his new songs....Cody you gotta let us fans hear your music!"
Truely a natural high

"Tim was the bassist on the first record, but why they didn't start him out as vocalist, I'll never know. He defines Shotgun Messiah's sound. His voice is so heavy and it runs oh so smooth over Cody's shredding rifs. In the short time they had together, they created one of my favorite records. Catch Skold now with KMFDM on "Anarchy", obviously my favorite track on the "Symbols" album."
