Album DescriptionJohn Foxx and electro DJ Louis Gordon release Sideways, their fifth album since meeting up just over 10 years ago. The album brings together sci-fi-themed electronic pop songs with trash psychedelia and film music to create the pair's most adventurous recordings to date. In fact, over 25 years after launching his solo career with the minimalist electro pop of Metamatic, Foxx has been enjoying a recent renaissance. In addition to the critically acclaimed From Trash, Foxx brought to life his Tiny Colour Movies album with a stunning performance at the Brighton Film Festival and continued his long-term Cathedral Oceans project with rare screenings at other UK film festivals. He also started work on various collaborative projects with Robin Guthrie (ex-Cocteau Twins) and the actor Vincent Gallo, which are due for release later in 2007. According to Foxx, Sideways explores his fascination with 'things that have all been considered at one time or another as trash - science fiction, TV, B-movies, synthesizers, psychedelia, pop music, comics - all the stuff I love!'
