Recorded with Mark Nevers (Lambchop/Will Oldham) at his home studio in Nashville, I Am The Man is thirteen tracks of heart-stopping soulful folk loveliness. It features White on vocals and guitars and occasional cymbal clash with additional instruments - including brushed drums, tender piano and the prettiest trombone sound this side of Calexico. 13 tracks including 'Roses Are Not Red', 'Mary Jane' and 'Great Imperialist State'. "It's all beauty and truth, often both. Sample tracks and videos are available online. I can't guarantee you'll like it, but I can say the music is coming from the right place. Simone is one of the finer voices reflecting the great shift in consciousness we're having right now.
