CD Reviews

Actually it's the same as "Into A Swan" pt. 1

"This is the same CD as "Into a Swan" pt. 1

This is the most commerical song off of Siouxsie Sioux's new "Mantaray." It's really not bad. It is devoid of the mysticism and gothic appeal that were present in her previous releases. It's not the best song from the album: my pick would be "If It Doesn't Kill You," but this was probably the best choice for the release of a single."
Every now and then.

"This is a great CD single. "CD single". This review isn't about just the 1st track (the edit for the CD single, ending differently than the version on the album). The 2nd track is a very unique version ("version", not really a remix), it's an alternate version that's more of a ballad. It's great. The 3rd track is a remix, which kinda begins where the original ends.

This single and the entire album to this is collage-rock, radio friendly; however, it's Rock 'N' Roll. Siouxsie does this a lot, since she was w/ Siouxsie & the Banshees or The Creatures. She makes a lot of anti-radio music that all her fans adore, but once in a while there's always an album, ep, or a single, that's not underground, but overground. In two interviews I've read that Severen and her say it's a way to make more money to devote to the following underground albums.

If you think that this currently is how it is for her career, you're wrong. If you have been a fan for a long while, you probably already thought the same way over the album Superstition, or the single O' Baby, et cetera.

Don't forget, the next albums after Juju are fixing to be reReleased/reMastered, all the way up to Tinderbox."
