"The Six Parts Seven are a magnificent band. Non-threatening post-rock. It is subdued and the farthest thing from pretentious that one could ever hear. There are no sweeping grandiose crecendos here, just sincere instrumental music. "Things Shaped in Passing" may be there best yet, although "In the Late Style of Fire" off of "Things Shaped in Passing" is still my favorite Six parts seven song. The pieces are so textured. I have never felt so calm listening to music in my entire life. I need to see them play live. If there are any shows in the Cleveland area soon and you are near Granville, OH (Denison University), i will pay you money if you will drive me to the show. Thank you and goodnight"

"These guys are seriously my favorite band right now. This is an absolutely gorgeous compilation of music. It is deep, sorrowful, reflective, lonely, quiet, hopeful, and breathtaking. Seriously, folks. I think I even cried when I first heard this and I'm not much of a softy. I went all the way to Chicago to see these guys - they are the best undiscovered band I know. Well worth the investment. I give it 6 stars on a scale of 5."
