CD Reviews

By far the best sounding of the reissues
B. Margolis | Minneapolis, MN United States | 11/27/2007
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Not only is this amazing album among the most collectable and expensive British Psych LP's of the Psychedelic Era, but it's also one of the best.

Downright brilliant written songs and well performed and expertly produced by Vic Smith.

This had been issued a few times on CD.,...first as a UK bootleg and then this Japanese CD and finally, a (probably) out of print 2-CD set on Castle from the UK. I have all three and this one has the very best, clearest sound.

The extra tracks on the Castle CD ("The Story of Skip Bifferty" include some of the worst sounding BBC sessions I've heard heard. Great performances but they were dubbed from scratched up vinyl and are virtually unlistenable. The remaining tracks are post-Bifferty tracks by Heavy Jelly and Griffin. Nice stuff."
A personal favorite

"Possibly the catchiest psychedelic record I've ever heard. Search them out on a myspace fan page to hear samples. That's what sold me.

Kinda like The Action, The Yardbirds, the Factory, and the Pretty Things "SF Sorrow" LP...but totally different. Just buy the damned thing!
