Sky Watching is the collaboration of pianist Merrill Collins and cellist Michael Fitzpatrick. According to Collins, music exerts itself from the atomic level, imprinted in the DNA by a Cosmic Creator and spirals are their manifestation (perhaps that is why her music company is called Spiraling Music). Fitzpatrick is a well renowned presence in not only the music world, but is connected to the spiritual world by a spider web of appearances and contributions, "tuning the planet" with the Dalai Lama. Together their contemporary music is sometimes light and airy, and at other times quite sedate. The album contains thirteen tracks that not only connect you to the seen atmosphere around the planet, but also connects you to the ambiance of the unseen, that which may be in the vast sky that is our spirit.
