I don't know how seriously the lyrics are meant to be taken, but they're just harmless dumb fun as far as I'm concerned, and musically it's a really well composed piece of pop-rock goodness. The attention to detail in the multiple layered guitar and vocal parts is masterful, and the verse/chorus dynamic has such a kick to it.
