Thanks to this reissue by Delmark of an LP put out on the small Magnagraphic label several years ago, fans throughout the world can now hear his lyrical playing on CD. Backed by pianist Johnny Varro, drummer Gene Estes and bassist Ray Leatherwood, Hedges does a fine job on tunes ranging from "I Found a New Baby" to "'Round Midnight," "Autumn Leaves," and "Here's That Rainy Day." All nine tunes combine to display the versatility of this classy clarinetist."
