"Not a bad song in the bunch. Try listening to it and driving very fast at the same time, as this has a marvelous effect. How these songs never made it far in the U.S. is a mystery to me, as I would listen to Slade over U2 or the Stones without hesitation. You won't be disappointed. (Hint: Fish seem to bite more often while listening to Slade in the boat!)"

"One of the best records ever recorded. Hey Ho Wish You Well rocks as well as anything recorded by Led Zeppelin, the Rolling Stones or modern day rockers like Creed. I bought the cassette of this when I graduated from high school in 1985 and wore it out playing it as loud as my ears could stand. Great album just like all I have heard from Slade. Thanks Slade for some great ear seering rock."

"I came to Slade after Quiet Riot covered a couple of their songs, and now I love them. In my opinion, this is their best album. It is a very pleasing blend of hard rock with 80s-style pop metal. The songs are catchy and fun. However, "true" Slade fans who liked their 1970s work don't like this album (or their albums _Keep Your Hands Off My Power Supply_ and _You Boys Make Big Noize_) as much as the earlier Slade albums. In my opinion, they are better. Thus, if you love 80s metal, this is a great album to add to your collection. If you prefer 70s rock, this might not be the best choice."

"I'm too young to really count myself as a true Slade fan (b 1967), but as a fairweather Slade fan I can say that this effort is probably as good as any Slade release. The fact that keyboards enter the mix doesn't disturb me too much. Several cuts like "Mizsterious...." actually benefit from the melody the keys give since the rest of the music itself has little hook to grab the listener. Jim Lea's music is true to the style Slade has mined for decades (pub sing-a-longs) and the rest of the band delivers with a fish-and-chips-washed-down-with-ale style. I pulled this album for a listen from my collection for the first time in about 10 years the other day and still enjoyed it. God save the Slade."
