At 84 tracks this is the definitive overview of Slade's recording career, including rare cuts, previously unissued on CD. Compiled by Slade authority Mark Brennan (AKA Captain Oi), the package also contains a 72 page booklet featuring an entertaining 15,000 word essay by former Slade press agent Keith Altham (including input from all four members), a generous helping of previously unpublished photos, a gallery of picture sleeves and a full UK discography. Includes hits that will drive spell-check crazy like 'Mama Weer All Crazee Now', 'Skweeze Me Pleeze Me', 'Gudbuy T'Jane', 'Cum On Feel The Noize' and more. Salvo. 2006.

CD Reviews

THEY GOT IT RIGHT!!!
S. SMITH | COLONY 9, PLUTO | 11/12/2006

"This is really a nice box set. The sound is crisp(unlike last year's 2-disc collection), the book is great & all the charting singles are here. I also like the fact that the full-length version of "Run Runaway" was used instead of the single edit. Of course, this is probably more Slade than most people need, but better too much than not enough! Even though this is an import, you can find it for a good price if you shop around."
Simply definitive.

"This is the definitive compilation of Slade, a great British rock band that never made it big in the US.

With an incredible 84 tracks divided into four CD's, it has it all: all of their numer one hits (in the UK), a lot of greta B-sides and all of the stronger songs in each album; The quality of the booklet is flawless, as also is the text.

YOu can't go wrong: it has ballads, rocking songs, keyboards, acustic guitars, displaying all the quality of thisphenomenal quartet that only now begin to get the praise they deserve."
Okay, It's A Great Set But You STILL Have To Buy KEEP YOUR H

"Keep Your Hands Off My Power Supply was one of the best albums of 1984. When everyone else was playing around with New Wave Slade were still rocking out. The whole album smokes and includes my two favorite Slade tracks of all time - High And Dry and In The Dog House. These were inexplicably left off this collection (along with Cheap 'N Nasty Luv - another classic - for the only two Power Supply tracks I don't like!

Okay, so get the Keep Your Hands Off My Power Supply CD, THEN this box set. Eventually you'll get the itch for even more Slade and that's when you go for the Slade In Flame DVD - a pretty authentic look at the music business of the time with the band even broadcasting from one of England's pirate offshore radio stations before they were shut down. Enjoy!"
