High Energy Country Boogie

"Do not be fooled! Despite the "Sun" label and what looks to be the original Sam Phillips logo, these are not recordings from the 1950's. That said, this is a very good collection, especially for the price. LaBeef has a big deep booming voice and his back up band attacks the set with alot of energy. There is nothing particularly original here and a few of these covers, such as Me and Bobbie McGee, have been done much better by other artists, but you look at this guy and you wonder if maybe Elvis might have ended up like this, if he had lived."
