"This is the one song that got me into slipknot. i owe alot to left behind for showing me one of the greatest groups ever. And by that I don't mean slipknot. These songs got me into metal, no matter how much I now despise of nu-metal and how much I listen to black metal and death metal.this is a alright track and it features ok instrumentation saved by the drummer.
its less heavy than all of their other songs, expecially the vocals, where corey hardly screams at all. the vocals are ok they're just a bit different than usual. This song is also pretty commercialised because it is repetitive."

"Left Behind is a pretty tame song for a band like slipknot. I guess that's why it the single. Let's begin, shall we?Left Behind- Good Track. Accesible(unlike some other tracks from IOWA. I'm not dissing the heavy stuff, I actually like it better, but this is a breath of fresh air.)Liberate(live)- Not as good as the studio version but still enough to get you pumped up.surfacing(live)- see liberate. Anthemic! You also get the left behind video which is probably their best vid to date. Violent. Cool performance shots of the band and raining blood. What else do you need. The wait and Bleed single has more to offer than this though.Pick up the full lengths and maybe get this if you like them alot (like me)."
Good Song, But Gets Old

""Left behind" was the one of the reasons I bought "Iowa". The song gets stuck in your head (at least when you first hear it), and you just have to buy the Cd to get it out. The chorus is great, as are the verses. And the music video is amazing, Slipknot's best video yet. But, if you want this song, get "Iowa", as the song does get old, and there are so many other great songs on "Iowa"."
