Better for those who are already Sloan fans

"I like this EP but it wouldn't be the best choice for someone who is new to Sloan. Like their first full-length album, Smeared, it has a trendy (for the early 90's) sound with lots of feedback. Beginning with their 1994 album Twice Removed, though, Sloan started making music that wasn't trendy and that was true to their tastes. They even defied DGC who wanted them to make the album trendier. They left it as is, and it has been voted best Canadian pop rock album of all time by Chart Magazine on more than one occasion. If you are new to Sloan, I would recommend Twice Removed, One Chord to Another, and/or Never Hear the End of it. Those are the three most brilliant of their eight full-length albums. Check them out live, too... lots of fun! I should know; I've seen them over 20 times."
