"Chances are if you watch Saturday morning television or hang out on the Internet you have heard about the new tween/teen group The Slumber Party Girls. Dance Revolution is their debut album. The girls make real innocent fun sugary pop music. The Slumber Party Girls call themselves SPG for short sometimes. The group is made up of five young girls of various backgrounds. It's safe enough that parents won't find anything objectionable in the lyrics and young listeners will want to dance to the songs. The lyrics are also simple enough that fans will easily be able to sing along to the catchy songs. Think about groups like 3LW or Raven back in the day. Slumber Party Girls are what's missing on the teen music scene. They are just regular girls all about having fun and making pop music with that R&B edge. Catchy songs on the album include "Bubblegum," "I Got Your Back," and "Summer's Gone." The beats are hot and the production is solid. Dance Revolution may easily prove to be the guilty pleasure of adult listeners as well. One thing for sure, young girls will fall in love with the Slumber Party Girls and their CD Dance Revolution.
The album was produced by legendary producer Ron Fair and was released by Geffen Records."
Even this old mom likes it!

"I bought this album for my 11-year-old daughter, since she's been watching Dance Revolution on TV. I was VERY suprised that I liked the music, too! This is fun, danceable, sing-along stuff. The lyrics are OK for my 4-year-old, even, and the girls' voices are excellent. Each track is a little different, especially the Gloria Estefan-worthy "Salsa." I'm a cranky old mom and won't play Hip-Hop in the house, but I'll let the girls listen to this one whenever they want. As a matter of fact, I even put it on the other day while I cleaned house! It kept me moving, and I might even be learning the lyrics....."
This is a wonderful cd

"I bought the Slumber Party Girls cd from Amazon coincidently the same day the cd came out. I just recieved it today. I've got to say, I'm able to listen to the entire cd and not do any skipping through the tracks. This is the first cd I've bought in years and I'm really pleased with my purchase. It's really nice to hear all the songs that the kids dance to on the Dance Revolution show. I hope they come out with many more cds. The lyrics are very clean and nice, I'm able to listen and not have to absorb any stuff that just is not good to hear all the time. Which is why I tend to be so picky with the cds I buy. By the way, I'm 22, so not just kids love this music. I'm so pleased."
Great group!

"One Saturday morning I decided to watch Dance Revolution to see what the hype was all about. When the show began, the host stated that the Slumber Party Girls were about to perform. I had seen them host the Slumber Party Saturday Morning Cartoon lineup on CBS and I knew that they were a singing group but I never took the time to listen to their music. I'm so glad that I did!! On that day, they were performing, now one of my favorites, Bubblegum. Since that fateful Saturday morning, I've been a fan.
This CD is packed with songs that will genuinely make you smile and appreciate how music was meant to be, innocent. I applaud this group for taking that route. You won't be able to stop hearing those infectious songs in your head even when you're supposed to be paying attention in class or at work. From Bubblegum to Good Times, this CD has me bobbing my head everytime I have it on. There isn't much wrong with this CD. Well, much. As much as I love the up temple songs (especially Dance with Me), I wish that they would have offered more ballads. The two that are on there are great (I Got Your Back and Carousel) but it would have been great for more (I believe that ballads really brings out vocal talent and these young women really have loads of it).
You can't go wrong purchasing this CD. But be warned, you may become an obsessed fan and pray that this all girl (well, young women) group don't go the route of the other long forgotten ones but stay around for years to come. I pray that they have continued success!
