"Listen and make your own judgement.
The album isn't as bad as some these cats are claiming to be. There's like three tracks i wasn't feeling and they more at the end of the album tracks 10, 12 and 13. You can listen to 1-9 straight through. Track 14 "Still Here" should of been the first track on the album though since on that track pretty much explaining what the album is all about. My favorite cut on the album is K.I.M. 2000 which been getting play on the repeat basis.
Lyrically Tek N Steele are on some grown man rap talking about grown man things, which is positive note when people always be like all they talk about are guns and weed. They going back and forth like Da Shinan on some tracks and giving street education like on The Rude Awakening. Using one of the producers Ken Ring on Re-loaded to do majority of the album which was a solid effort. I felt Tommy Tee had the weaker joints on this album.
I know most cats are all about beats but the rhymes are on point they talking about real life things for the most part though out the album. I guess all that will get overlooked though. Maybe they could of used some other producers to balance out the album, but during that time Tek N Steele was doing a tour in Europe and linked with Ken Ring and his team of producers. They banged out a few joints then eventully an album came together, similar to how 9th n Buck linked up with the Chemistry album.
Also wanted to add if it wasn't for Duck Down being around the BCC will probably be M.I.A. like most hot groups in the 90's that you don't hear no more. Every sale counts with these indie labels they don't move units like Kanya, Jay Z etc shipping Gold and Platinum. So thats why they need people to buy these records and goto shows. Because the more sales they get, the next album the distributor will ship out more units for the next album.
