"This is just one of many wonderful CDs offered by Smithfield Fair. And if you are lucky enough and able, try to see them in concert. They travel a fair deal around the country (at Highland Games, Pubs, etc.) My husband is of Scottish descent and really loves hearing a "bit of the old country.""

"Wow! This band just gets better and better and better. This album has a great deal of spirit and energy, but not of the everyday common frenzy of jigs and reels. There is substance and depth here and the songs are VERY thought-provoking. The vocals are gorgeous and Jan Smith sings straight from the heart in many colors and dimensions. For a trio, they are a dynamo and every listen uncovers more. The band's original songs are the high point, though. From tinkers to silkies to fighters for the cause of an independent Scotland - the songs cover a great deal of ground and the music is just...WOW!"
