CD Reviews

Actor In Awe

"I bought this CD to rehearse for the part of Snoopy in a version of this play, and I love it! It is a much better CD than the other version Amazon offers. It includes all of the songs from the original play. I especially loved "When Do The Good Things Start" and "The Big Bow-Wow". After hearing how much I liked it, practically the entire other cast of the play bought a copy. This CD is great for all, Peanuts fans or not."
Spirit of Snoopy

"I saw the musical during its short run in the West End and think the album captured the spirit of the musical-short, sweet and witty. The music is catchy, the lyrics are fun and the whole album is entertaining for children and children-at-heart. My favourites are "I know now" (how true) and the motivating "Don't be Anything Less..." You don't have to be a fan of Peanuts to enjoy the album but if you are, will understand the reasoning behind a couple of the songs."
Best Musical You've Never Heard About

"I was [quite young], and I remember being taken to see some show that had a song that stuck with me for the rest of my life. All I could remember was that the words "Poor sweet baby" were in it, and that it was one of the prettiest songs I had ever heard. Well fast forward 15 years to the glorious age of the internet, where one can do online searches of lyrics, and lo and behold, my long lost song and musical, Snoopy and "Poor Sweet Baby". All of my friends think I'm nuts that I love this musical. But I got it for the one song alone and fell in love with so many others. This is not the kind of musical one thinks of - i.e. Cats, Phantom, Rent, Les Mis, etc. but I think that is what gives it it's charm. Simple, funny lyrics, a single piano for background, it enables you to really absorb the charm of all the Peanuts characters. You are either going to love it or hate it. If you hate it, you will be very angry that you wasted your money and time on this piece of garbage, but if you love it, you will treasure this CD for the rest of your life. Songs like Daisy Hill, Just One Person, and the Great Pumpkin are great in their simplicity and innocence. We all should strive to find the special person in our life that "when we are feeling tired or depressed, she'd cuddle up to me and whisper "poor sweet baby"""
