"It soundslike what it is: if Matmos made party music. The story is that English House wizard, Matthew Herbert, proposed a friendly wager with Drew Daniel (one half of SF-based Matmos and part of Bjork's "Vespertine" team) that he couldn't use his talents to produce a decent House record. Well, HE DID, and Matthew Herbert put it out on his label, SoundsLike. If you like house/dance/party music, you should check out this fresh perspective. If you like Matmos, then you should already have this. It might be somewhere between Matmos' "A Cance to Cut..." and DaftPunk's "Discovery" , but then it's totally different. While the Soft Pink Truth is actually just Drew Daniel in Sampletown, Martin Schmidt (the tall thin half) also contributes on a few tracks, and Blevin Blectum (half of Blectum from Blechdom) sings on a great cover of Vanity 6's "Make Up". The CD also features an amazing and hilarious video for 'PromoFunk'. Of all the great albums that have to suffer the ridiculous label of "Intelligent Dance Music", this might be the most appropriate case."
Not so much party

"Being both a Matmos fan and a dance party fan, I was excited when I heard about this cd. I was hoping that it would be some sort of dance/glitch party album that would move my feet in a way I never thought possible. Unfortunately, Do You Party doesn't have a single dancey song on it. It does cause you to bob your head or wiggle your feet every now and then, but none of the grooves groove enough. Sure, it's fun and funny at times, especially on the first 4 songs of the CD, but overall the CD sounds like a more accessible Matmos CD rather than a party CD. I'd recommend DAT Politics' Plugs Plus for those looking for a dancey glitch album."

"if daft punk decided to go experimental this is what this album sounds like...too bad for them...SPT did it
this album is so refreshing.....it has its cheesey hip hopish disco theme to it cause it is a joke after all
this is a fun album for some band member that makes weird abstract music
check out u-ziq bilious paths if you like this one"
