Great Performance

"I purchased this CD originally to complete my collection of Reger solo violin works. But I was surprised to find that the Bach Chaconne (and the rest of the d minor partita also here despite the album title) entry was in a class equal to any other I had heard in all ways, technique, intonation, tone quality and interpretation. Beautiful sound, flawless execution, with all the depth and repose. I look forward to a Jennifer Koh complete Sonatas and Partitas set someday. These pieces are a special interest of mine so I have heard recordings made by most of the well known artists of all eras (starting with Menuhin's 78rpm transfers) for comparison. The other works are at the same level."
