"First off before buying a Some Velvet Sidewalk cd you need to realize these guys arent your average band...Off beat vocals and feedback ridden songs....So if you like grunge or anything out of the ordinary check these guys out...Shipwreck is by far SVS best album...I have several of their albums but this one stands out...If you are new to SVS get this album...."Empty House" is the best track on this album...never heard anything else like it..."Eye of the Storm" is a close second...So check these guys out..."

"Some Velvet Sidwalk's latest album, 'Shipwreck' is probably their most eccentric yet. The last song on this album, 'Mousetrap', definately stood out amoung the rest. Although I doubt everyone who buys this cd will like this track, I found it entertaining. It is certainly off the beaten road. Some Velvet Sidewalk is not afraid to venture outside of the safety net of mainstream genres and this album proves it. I recommend this album to anyone who wants to try something new and different."
