"I found this album to be a fresh sound featuring a wide dynamic range that is rare in some of the more recent digital recordings of new artists that I have purchased. The content is tastefully reminiscent of the 1970s progressive sound of bands like Genesis, Supertramp, Yes, Rush and Pink Floyd, while Lora Nigro's voice sends shivers up and down your spine with deeply penetrating vocal performances along the lines of Sarah McLachlan or Alanis Morissette.The subject matter for the lyrics is seemingly more spiritual than the standard boy meets girl type stuff. The topics and relationships in the tracks "I Am", "Divided" and "Redemption" deal with the complex programming of people as fodder in the workplace and searching minds that want to find out more about what life is about.I also really feel that this album is best experienced by listening through a set of earphones, a technique I recommend without reservation. The production is outstanding and the imaging is brilliant!"

Sometimes Y's Incredible Album

"I've just played my copy of Sometimes Y's album, I Am for the umpteenth time and I feel compelled to share my opinion with you. This album has fantastic production qualities and has a very powerful atmosphere. It's difficult to say what other recordings are comparable, but the way I could describe it is that it the first album of the 21st Century to make an impact with me. I saw the group perform in Madison, Wisconsin at the beginning of January (2000) and that is where I got their disc. I've been listening to it ever since. Every time I listen I hear something different and it really makes my stereo sound awesome! As a musician I also can hear the detail that went into the arrangements and since I've seen the band perform several of the numbers with a two acoustic guitars, I can see the attention to detail that put into this recording. All I can say is it's an incredible album and it's worth any audiophile or musician to have in their music collection. It also doesn't hurt that the lead vocalist, Lora Nigro, is a real knockout.- James Merkel University of Wisconsin"
