Red-hot rhythms and percolating percussion drive the excellent self-titled debut by this young foursome. But the key to the group's appeal is its splendid vocal harmonies, which blend typical salsa soneos with R&B flavorings. Think of a Latino Boyz II Men powered by salsa's congas and elephantine horns, and you get the picture. The leadoff single "A Puro Dolor" quickly climbed the charts, thanks to its rhythmic fusion and the magnificent vocal acrobatics of boyhood friends Angel, Pedro, and brothers Javi and Georgi. Elsewhere, there are traditional salsa grooves fueled by heavy trombones ("Mi Corazón Te Recuerda"), mellow boleros ("Dónde Está Tu Amor"), and spirited merengues ("Lo Que Yo No Tengo").
